natalia wong went on a baking spree.
ever since holidays have begun, she has been busying herself in her kitchen, filling it with aroma of butter steaming out from the oven floating throughout the whole house =)
because her friend was so nice and bought her a whole pineapple for whatever reasons...... pineapple tarts evolved!! check out the unique shaped biscuits! :D they were lovingly made with her carving knife and nimble fingers :p plus the decoration to make it even more enticing to eat :p
and because her birthday juz passed not long ago and she was still bored. she baked her own birthday cake (: since a chocolate icecream cheesecake wasnt possible.. she made a chocolate with orange and brandy cheesecake with a scoop of icekreme from krispy kreme to consume with (:
she promised another friend that she would bake a chocolate mudcake for her because she was erm okay, needed encouragement.. so here's a milo(sorry no cocoa powder) fudge cake! :D
then, in light of her upcoming trip to adelaide which she iz SUPER excited to embark on. plus having heard that others were put in charge of sandwiches for the drive there.. she baked cookies for the drive as well! chocolate and cream cookies! looks like chocolate hamburgers =)
last but not least, trying to appear to seem healthier for once.. honey oatmeal cookies! (: with a choice of plain, with raisins or with chocolate.

and guess what?
she did all these all in the attempt to feed the faces of others to join her in her growing and swelling bigger and bigger horizontally by the weeks. :p

tuesday,
had an activities packed day out =)
shopping at chaddy in the morning (:
got myself a birthday top, loved it. eh.. i forgot to take a picture of it and this erm funny face photo was the closest you get to seeing the top :p oops x)
a lindt chocolate cheesecake! (: yummilicious.
my afternoon was spent mysteriously which cannot be disclosed. where i found a wallet and returned it to the bank - my good deed done for my birthday :phad dinner at wagamama,
and followed by dozen slices of cakes at the other cafe place.watched fame the movie. and i guess what really caught me was something said along this line:
until you can accept your circumstances, you'll never be able to accept yourself and bring your true inner self out.
it's juz like the nooma we're going to be watching tonight:
everyone had wounds. big small shallow deep. we cant figure out why people do things to us, but at the end of the day, we dun wan to let our lives be determined by what other ppl do to us, we juz want to be free from it all.
forgiving isnt forgetting, sometimes it's remembering.
it iz an action. forgiving iz letting go, setting free, giving up on every desire for revenge, but most of all, forgiving iz to actually wish them well. forgiveness isnt about other people, it's about us. when we forgive and set them free, we set ourselves free, letting ourselves off the hook. having to carry all that baggage around is a miserable way to live. as we journey through life, we get hurt and wounded, but the truth stands: God created you to be free.
what does it cost to let it go?
what will it cost you to let go?
what will it cost for you to let yourself off that hook?
perhaps only until you let yourself off the hook, then can you really fully love yourself before anyone else.

happy birthday to me! (:

sometimes it's through times like these that you really know who goes beyond surface deep. or maybe it's juz cuz i dun tell ppl here in aussie that it's today. but anyways (:
had a fun day baking my own birthday cake today :p
though i didnt have my cake cutting and no, i didnt get to make a wish on the day itself with my cake and candle (i had a mooncake cake first week of oct). but yeah, day still went fine. i hope my chocolate cheesecake turns out okay tmr morning x) shall post a photo when it's done :p
so yeah, called home and went for dinner at docklands! (: it was alright. the steak was much better than the fish and chips. but haha, the cake slice was yum.
i guess this iz it.
i'm twenteen now.
time to grow up? forced to grow up? or will growing up means missing out on being myself?

it says that it will peak from 14-18mths.
so be prepared for even more "vulnerability" when you're not around serena!
and it's normal!
baby jordan iz friendly for the initial 2-3months because infants smile and laugh with ANY competent care giver.
so what does this say..
for baby jordan to develop into a healthy young resilient and competent toddler, baby jordan has to develop the "secure attachment" style. so in other words, baby jordan has to show distress when mummy serena iz not around, and yet be easily soothed when mummy serena comes back (:
other attachment styles would include
- anxious attachment : child gets distressed and yet not easily soothed!
- avoidant attachment : child continually explore room irrespective of parent presence; child does not show signs of distress either
- disorganised and disorientated attachment : child doesnt show affective behaviour to parent
i wish i had the know-hows to developing that secure attachment style. HPS121 only mentioned sensitive and responsive behaviours from parents...
geex, but i wont be taking this unit next year.
